Supply Chain Manager
**Job Description** BAE System s is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to support the Manufacturing, Fabrication and commercial ship repair business. As the leader of BAE s Shipyard Supply Chain team, you will manage Supply Chain activities for business development, proposals, evaluation, planning, and implementation of tactics to ensure that material planning, material purchasing, and subcontracting activities related to assigned company programs and operations are accomplished within all prerequisites of cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance. The department operations include supporting the on-time delivery of material and services to support program and operational needs. Customers include multiple US Government agencies and Commercial customers adding a level of variety to the daily routine and demanding a breadth of experience across these markets to ensure the organization s success. **Key Responsibilities:** + Strategic Planning: + Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence. + Integrates supplier strategies with program needs and supply base capabilities + Supplier Identification and management: + Identify and pursue new supply base to support new business opportunities. + Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and industry associations. + Provides business and strategic guidance for critical suppliers, commodities and programs + Leads the resolution of complex or strategic supply chain issues + Market Analysis: + Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in procurement and supply chain services. + Proposal Management: + Oversee supply chain activities in support of the preparation and submission of proposals, ensuring suppliers, subcontractors and material meets the budget and technical requirements. + Drive proposal activities, interface with senior leadership, and ensure timely delivery of proposals to support the projects + Oversee supply chain proposal activities supporting the fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with RFP specifications and alignment with internal and external customer expectations + Develop and execute proposal risk mitigation plans and participate in fact-finding meetings to coordinate responses to RFPs + Compile and manage RFPs and bid packages to solicit and evaluate supplier proposalsMonitor supplier performance, track price trends, and inform procurement decisions + Compiling holistic subcontractor proposal packages to ensure compliance with RFP specifications + Serve as a liaison for collecting cost data, delivery schedules, and performance specifications + Researching and analyzing historical data to develop cost models supporting proposal efforts + Performance tracking: + Monitor and analyze metrics including budgets, on time delivery, and supplier performance to ensure external partners are meeting business expectations + Analyze historical data, develop cost models, and negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent experience of relevant supply chain, materials/program management, procurement, or purchasing experience + 5 or more years of experience as a team lead or managing of people + Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems + Understanding on how to prepare a Basis of Estimate (BOE) for all proposals + Understanding of general procurement and purchasing lifecycles + Understanding of forecasting and planning with an emphasis on driving execution to need with an emphasis on working knowledge of Integrated Master Schedules + Knowledge and practical experience in shipbuilding and ship repair industry + Ability to create win-win solutions with a "make it happen" attitude + Ability to develop and implement organizational changes as required to meet an ever-dynamic changing environment + Ability to motivate, manage, lead, train, and develop personnel + Solid critical and strategic thinking skills + Strong time management and organization skills **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Master s Degree + CPM or APICS Certification + Experience in Change Management + Knowledge and practical experience in acquisition of materials and/or services in a DoD environment governed by FAR/DFAR regulations + Analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $105835 - $179920 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
