Supply Chain Manager

Basic Qualifications

For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role that shows progressive accountability within a manufacturing environment.  Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office  Experience with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes. Understanding of financials (P&L and Balance Sheet). Proven interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others, including those not under their direct supervision.  Demonstrated ability of problem solving, systems thinking, project management, and team building.  Position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 

Preferred Qualifications

For this position to be successful, preference is given to candidates with: 

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.  Proficiency in Oracle ERP. 

Working Conditions

This position involves minimal exposure to risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Work is normally performed in an interior work environment. While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing full PPE to protect from mobile equipment and hot materials when on the shop floor. 

This position requires light physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.

This position also requires a willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule and travel domestically, as requested. 

Primary Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Operations Director, this position is responsible for Supply Chain Management functions of the HSS CLV Aerospace operations, including planning, materials management, production control & scheduling, and shipping & logistics.  Direct reports include Planning Manager, Shipping & Logistics Manager, Production Control & Scheduling team.  This position includes ownership of the S&OP (Sales, & Operations Planning Process), in coordination with the commercial, operations and finance teams.

 

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process owner – monthly cycle starting with demand view and ending with inputs to financial forecasting process. Includes revenue forecast, on time delivery and arrears projections and improvement, inventory projections and improvement Materials Management – planning, ordering and raw material inventory management  Production Planning – job planning, release to production, task date management and WIP inventory management Production Control and Scheduling – scheduling and reporting to facilitate execution of jobs to required task dates. Outside Resource Planning and Scheduling – plan, schedule and manage production at external suppliers. Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing and Trade Compliance  Define, monitor, and respond to operational controls and metrics (forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, inventory days on hand/days of supply, fill rates for RM and capacity utilization for assets) Manage Oracle ERP Business Process Ownership for Supply Chain and Logistics Lead SCM team to execute tasks, deliver results and continuously improve Managing and developing Supply Chain Management talent
