Position Summary: The Supply Chain Internship will support the development and implementation of an material replenishment system to ensure optimal material flow and minimize stockouts. This position will focus on establishing a structured Kanban process, including the design and deployment of visual management tools that improve transparency and efficiency across operations. The right candidate will also create clear, standardized work instructions to guide team members in executing replenishment and Kanban activities consistently. This position offers hands-on experience in lean principles, process optimization, and supply chain management, contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Concepts and Activities:
· Working within an ERP system to manage inventory and material flow
· Establishing and maintaining accurate reorder points for critical items
· Analyzing historical demand trends across multiple facilities to optimize replenishment strategies
· Supporting the implementation of Kanban cards and visual management boards
· Documenting standardized work instructions for replenishment and Kanban processes

Qualifications/Experience:
· Junior level or higher in undergraduate or Masters/MBA student enrolled in engineering course work leading to a Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Supply Chain study from an accredited 4-year College or University
· Candidates must be available full-time work during the Summer of 2025
· Unimpeachable ethics
· Ability to communicate professionally
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications considered a plus
· This position requires that the person be a highly organized and self-motivated
