Description
We are looking for a skilled Supply Chain Analyst to join our manufacturing team near Morristown, New Jersey. This role involves coordinating import activities, managing client and supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a background in international supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
• Cultivate and maintain long-term, positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Process and issue purchase orders to vendors while keeping customer records and pricing up to date.
• Prepare and manage blanket orders for customers and vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and backorder contracts to assess procurement needs.
• Submit import documentation to brokers for customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Pay import-related fees, including handling charges, demurrage, and detention.
• Create and distribute essential shipping documents such as Pack Lists, Certificates of Analysis, and Bills of Lading.
• Track shipments daily, communicate delays, and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Negotiate freight rates for various shipment types and arrange logistics from warehouses to customer locations.
• Resolve customer complaints, process returns, and address rejections to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in logistics, including 1-2 years focused on international import processes.
• Familiarity with managing large dollar volume orders.
• Consistent work history with well-defined roles and responsibilities.
• Prior experience in a product-based company, ideally within the pharmaceutical or nutritional industry.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics and import/export regulations.
• Proficiency in handling purchase orders and maintaining inventory records.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resolving issues effectively.
