Supply Chain Coordinator - Trade Management
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Trade Management team in Melbourne. The Trade Management Team primarily supports one of our major retail clients by managing their supply chain and logistics for specialty imported and exported products into Australia, leveraging our global forwarding expertise. A successful Supply Chain Coordinator will thrive in a lightning-fast environment and play a key role in coordinating purchase orders, inventory management, and shipping activities for all client orders. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and the management of external relationships with third-party stakeholders, including warehouses and transport carriers. **Responsibilities:** + Assist with demand forecasting to support the wider Supply Chain function in meeting market demand + Review historical sales trends, forecast accuracy, and forecast bias, focusing on continuous improvement + Plan and execute procurement activities with global suppliers, process sales orders, and maintain purchase order and shipment tracking information + Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers to confirm production and shipping schedules, and proactively monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery + Manage inventory, including reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percentage measurement, and product life cycle management; proactively report product availability issues + Liaise with overseas suppliers, 3PL warehouses, and global forwarding agents to coordinate order fulfillment and shipping activities + Produce ad hoc reports to support analysis and decision-making across supply chain functions + Maintain in-stock positions, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to support catalogue and business initiatives + Provide ongoing support and effective communication to internal and external stakeholders **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or Graduate Degree (or equivalent) + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing/buying, or demand planning within a retail or FMCG environment **Preferred Qualifications:** + Tertiary qualification in logistics or a supply chain–related discipline + Proven track record of dealing with customers and being client-focused + High attention to detail, critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs + Ability to contribute to a positive team environment, taking responsibility for your role + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment + Basic level of using MS Office suite – Dynamics / Business Central **Benefits** At C.H.
