Short Description
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for conducting all inventory purchases and managing relationships between vendors, distributors, leadership, and end-users. This role is vital to the management of inventory and the maintenance of supply chain processes and has a direct impact on the ability of the supply chain to meet customer needs. In addition to other duties as required by the institution or as directed by leadership, the Supply Chain Coordinator will:
Create and maintain purchase orders for medical supplies and equipment based on the needs of customersDeliver and stock medical supplies for par levels and special orders consistently on a daily basis to ensure clinical department supply needs are metManage all medical supplies, equipment, office supplies, mailings, and other shipments going out and being received for the building, practice, or other assigned areaUpdate weekly and ad-hoc reporting to ensure accuracy of inventory, costs, destination, or other customer needsCoordinate requests or new products between the clinical users and the Value Analysis CommitteesPartner with other Supply Chain team members and leadership to investigate problems and develop solutions to maintain an efficient supply chainThe Supply Chain Coordinator is expected to possess the following skills:
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office productsExceptional communication skills both written and oralExperience managing workloads with several overlapping deadlines and a variety of tasksUtilization of resources to generate effective solutions based on available informationAbility to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines and take ownership and accountability for issue resolutionExperience Required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare-related supply chain roleExperience in direct customer-relations and service recovery actions preferred
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Under-graduate degree in business, materials management, finance, or related field preferred
License/Certification Requirements
Valid driver’s license required
