Supply Chain Consultant
IBM
**Introduction**
At IBM, we know that transformation drives change, and it is in our DNA to continuously transform. Our Business Transformation Consultants help drive large scale change that spans IBM business units and geographies. As a part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of driving IBM’s ongoing transformation as a company that continuously innovates and leads the market.
**Your role and responsibilities**
'- Building business and system infrastructure to support new business models, such as a shift from traditional product sales to services and the creation of ecosystem platforms.
You will draw up a grand design for how to respond at a global level from the perspectives of resilience and sustainability, and drive it through to realization through business reform and technology.
Smart factories utilize data collected from manufacturing sites, while smart maintenance utilizes data from maintenance sites. However, these cannot be achieved by simply collecting data. They can only be achieved through a combination of many technologies, such as analytics that organize and digest the vast amount of information obtained from this data, AI that derives actions based on that data, and robotics that physically executes the derived actions.
To achieve the above, you will consult with customers at various "sites" such as factories, maintenance, and after-sales service to identify their issues and identify the necessary initiatives, draw up the architecture to make these a reality, and implement it with technology.
・You will be responsible for implementing business model reforms, operational reforms, and system construction using advanced IoT + Cloud technologies for clients with manufacturing businesses and manufacturing sites that do business globally, clients with infrastructure maintenance sites that support Japan, and clients engaged in businesses related to automobiles and mobility.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
'- Experience working at a consulting firm, SI, or business company with one of the following:
- Organizational design and business process design/improvement skills in supply chain management, supply and demand, logistics, purchasing, or procurement. Ability to utilize these skills to accurately understand departmental challenges and lead solution planning, execution, and change management.
- Consulting experience in process reform for a specific business function, such as manufacturing, quality, or equipment maintenance.
- Project leader, IT specialist, or architect with experience in requirements definition, design, and implementation of development projects for manufacturing clients (preferably in the upstream phase)
