Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to work on a long term contract in San Antonio, TX.
Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels, perform physical checks, and manage inventory systems to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Order Processing:Receive, process, and fulfill customer orders, ensuring timely delivery to retail locations or clients.
Logistics Coordination:Liaise with suppliers and logistics teams to track shipments and ensure products reach their destination on time.
Documentation & Reporting:Maintain logs, generate reports on progress, inventory, and costs, and prepare invoices and other necessary documents.
Quality Assurance:Check and inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met before they are dispatched.
Problem-Solving:Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product supply, quality, or delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are crucial for coordinating with various teams and external partners. Detail-Oriented: Must possess a strong ability to pay close attention to detail for managing data and documentation accurately. Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously. Database Proficiency: Familiarity with database or querying software to input and retrieve information. Basic Knowledge: Competence in basic financial and planning concepts is often a plus. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or experience in supply chain, logistics, is sometimes preferred.
