Supply Chain Analyst - Supply Chain and Logistics

We have an exciting opportunity on our Logistics Decision Support team as Supply Chain Analyst. With the continued growth of this department, we have created a new role to help build and lead a team of Power BI Report Developer and Supply Chain Analyst Associates. This role will assist in the strategy and analysis of all domestic, fleet, final mile and international logistics. The ideal candidate would have experience in logistics and ability to build reports and analyze data.

The Supply Chain Analyst helps prepare and issue regular reporting and analyses to illustrate and explain variables that impact parcel, LTL, international, final mile, technology use and compliance, supply chain challenges, and trends in the mix of businesses. This individual works in partnership with VP, Director, logistics teams, and field leadership in the effort to supply accurate and timely data and insights in the performance of all Ferguson business units.

Location: Hybrid out of our Newport News HQ.

Areas of impact:

Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of global logistics software, processes, and reporting affecting over 4 million deliveries annually.

Problem solving:

Create and reinforce business flows in a highly-matrixed, diverse environment with several thousand associates with direct impact on the routing compliance and increased efficiencies.

Job duties:Assist in on-boarding and enhancing technology; become Ferguson’s subject matter expert.Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunities.Assist in the maintenance and creation global logistics SOP’sDevelop the supply chain with partnered vendors to achieve target business results that create and maintain a competitive advantage for the Company.Assist in design, development, and implementation of data gathering and analysis tools and processes.Drives collaborations with suppliers and key stakeholders internally and externally, supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain final mile.Oversee a significant Supply Chain process or function and manage all aspects of executing said process or function.Educate others throughout the organization on Supply Chain management and its impact on roles and collective opportunities.Address, report, and resolve areas of risk or weakness in Ferguson’s global logistics organization.

Qualifications and requirementsMinimum 1+ years’ experience in supply chain, finance, or distribution analysisBachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, data, Business, Logistics, Mathematics, or similar discipline.Ability to work independently and interface across internal departments and the Ferguson vendor and carrier communityAbility to effectively communicate in writing.Expertise in Microsoft Office, SQL, and complex data query and aggregation, data visualizationMicrosoft Power Bi skills and knowledgeExcellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsPreferred transportation Analysis expertise to include LTL, Truckload, Parcel, and broad Supply Chain exposure in a high-volume environmentExperience with global logistics routing and delivery software

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $7,791.30

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
