Our Supply Chain Accounting Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 - 12 week period. Overtime may be available. **What You Will Learn & Main Responsibilities** + Support product costing and inventory valuation processes + Participate in Cost Accounting projects that support the Foods Supply Chain Operations + Prepare weekly and monthly reporting including variance analysis + Assist with development of Standard Product costing for new products + Help with month-end closing as needed in the Product Costing and Logistics Accounting areas + Analyze / scrub product costing data to prepare for use in SAP Product Costing initiative + Supports functionally specific business processes as well as various programs and projects that require sophisticated reporting analytics **Minimum Education** + Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Finance, Accounting, Data Science or Agricultural Economics majors preferred. + Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher **Experience Requirements** + Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software + Possess strong analytical, communication and time management skills + Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills **Experience Preferred** + 3.25 GPA or higher is highly preferred + Strongly prefer a rising Junior or Senior who has completed at least 2 college-level finance/accounting courses **Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements** + Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. + May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. + May need to access files, supplies and equipment. + Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment. _Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
