The opportunity:
The Supplier Systems, Analytics & Risk Specialist is responsible for supporting and advancing the systems, data, and analytics that enable Smurfit WestRock’s Supplier Compliance & Risk Management program. The role provides visibility to supplier performance, contract lifecycle health, risk exposure, and compliance metrics while supporting the automation and reporting infrastructure used across North America Procurement.
This position partners closely with Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Compliance, IT Procurement, Master Data, Operations, and Contract Management to ensure accurate data, effective reporting, and actionable insights that inform decision-making. The ideal candidate blends strong analytical and systems capability with business acumen and cross-functional collaboration.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Supplier Risk & Compliance Analytics
Support and maintain supplier risk models, heat maps, and segmentation tools.Provide reporting and insights that help teams identify supplier risks, trends, and mitigation needs.Track progress against risk mitigation and compliance activities.
Contract Lifecycle Reporting
Maintain dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into contract stages, cycle times, and bottlenecks.Partner with Contract Management and IT Procurement to ensure data quality and workflow accuracy.
Supplier Performance & Issue Resolution Reporting
Maintain supplier performance dashboards including complaints, OTIF, and quality metrics.Provide insights that support issue resolution, Supplier Business Reviews, and supplier accountability.
Systems & Automation Support
Support updates, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of Procurement reporting systems such as:Power BIPower AppsPower AutomateAlteryx workflowsSharePoint-based inputsCoordinate with IT Procurement and Master Data to ensure proper data access, refresh, and governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Master Data to ensure reporting meets business needs.Support the development and deployment of standardized processes, templates, and compliance tools.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.3+ years of experience in procurement analytics, systems support, supplier risk, or related roles.Strong analytical skills and experience with dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI preferred).Proficiency with Excel, data analysis, and digital tools.Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional partners.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
