Supplier Quality Technician- Warehouse - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Title: Supplier Quality Technician - Warehouse - 2nd Shift

Training will occur Monday through Friday on 1st shift, 6am to 4:30pm for up to 2 months depending on your hire date. The actual 2nd shift hours will be 7:30pm to 6am. You must be available for the initial 1st shift training schedule and the 2nd shift work schedule when it begins after the training period. 

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for material identification for material without any identificationMaintains Q-Hold control including incoming PPAP parts, unidentified material and parts on containmentPerforms receiving inspection as needed on contained material for visual or minor dimensional and packaging issuesResponsible for documenting damaged material as received at Warehouse or due to handling damage at WarehouseResponsible for Sequencing parts from Salvage area to production lineResponsible for material transfers and shipping using returns PO, Miscellaneous delivery or Sub Con PO’sEffectively manages Dummy engine process and transfers parts from Salvage toProduction line or warehouse in a timely mannerReconciles scrap accounts and ensures charges go to appropriate departmentsProvides support to other quality team members in gage, engine inspection and 050 Q-hold areasTravels to and from RRSA plant and Warehouse as needed to accomplish tasksIdentifies quality problems and recommends solutions to managementDocuments and communicates quality control information to your supervisorMaintains clean and orderly work areas and complies with safety regulations to help ensure a safe working environmentProvides training to personnel as specified in the departmental training matrixIdentifies and reduces non-value added workPerforms special projects as may be required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in salvage and in other production related areasPromotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and lives the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce code of conduct

Basic Requirements :

2 years in a mechanical, engine or automotive trade school or equivalent associate’s degree; or 3 years of experience in a durable goods assembly or manufacturing environment“Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. Preferred:

Intermediate blueprint reading skills with a high attention to detailIntermediate knowledge and experience with torque equipment and standard measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gage blocksBasic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standardsBasic ability to work independently and a strong desire to continuously learn and improveBasic troubleshooting and problem solving skillsBasic interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other employeesBasic oral and written communication skillsBasic reading, writing and math skillsBasic knowledge of Computer, software, calculator, and common office equipmentBasic knowledge of Air Guns, calipers, files, hammers, mallets, torque equipment, and adjustable wrenches etc.Must be a team player by supporting other activities in the Department as requiredAbility to lift, push, pull weights in the 20-60 lb. rangeBasic PC knowledge and the ability to efficiently operate computer terminals and scanning devicesExperience in assembly processes requiring torqued fastenersWorking Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001standardsWorking knowledge on Lean Principles (5S, Kaizen etc.)
