The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) acts as the principal liaison for all technical and quality-related matters pertaining to supplier-delivered products. This position requires close cooperation with key departments such as Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics. The SQE’s primary goal is to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, thereby minimizing defects and reducing costs related to quality issues. Furthermore, the SQE is responsible for developing and strengthening the supply base to align with business requirements.
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the identification, scouting, and selection of potential new suppliers.
Qualifying suppliers according to company standards.
Conducting periodic audits to verify and ensure compliance with company requirements.
Leading suppliers in executing root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and supportig the development of robust corrective actions (CA).
Reviewing the results of on-the-job inspections in accordance with Quality Control Plans.
Assisting suppliers with Deviation Request (SDR) management.
Managing supplier-related Non-Conformity Records (NCR).
Providing technical support to the buyer, engineering team, or BOM team to effectively manage purchasing needs.
Analysing data to drive suppliers and commodities quality improvement
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology or similar).
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, forging, casting, heat treatment, assembly)
Familiarity with technical drawings, GD&T fundamentals, and mechanical specifications
Curiosity towards quality engineering principles (inspection, non-conformities, root cause analysis), even if not yet experienced in an industrial role.
Willingness to learn industry standards relevant to Oil & Gas (e.g. ISO 9001, API, PED, ASME – knowledge not mandatory but considered a plus)
Good knowledge of English, written and spoken (technical English preferred).
Willingness to travel frequently.
