Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for on-site supplier qualification, auditing, and issue resolution to ensure compliant, high-quality materials and components for manufacturing.

Job Requirements

Experience with supplier audits, qualification processes, and maintaining Approved Supplier Lists in alignment with GMP and regulatory standards

Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and compliance project support within a manufacturing or medical device environment

Proficiency in identifying, investigating, and resolving supplier-related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies

Experience managing supplier quality activities such as PPAPs, control plans, and product acceptance sampling strategies

Ability to work on-site 5 days per week

Preferred Skills

Experience administering or supporting a Certified Supplier Program within receiving inspection

Background monitoring parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle in a regulated environment

Experience supporting Supplier Owned Quality deployment and new product introduction activities

Familiarity with GMP principles and supplier auditing best practices

Job Responsibilities

Drive and manage supplier quality activities related to projects, including Approved Supplier List (ASL) updates, PPAPs, and general project support

Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services that meet company and regulatory requirements

Qualify suppliers according to company standards and support or administer Certified Supplier Programs for cost-effective receiving inspection

Monitor supplied parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicate/resolve supplier-related problems as they occur

Develop, maintain, and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure designated suppliers are audited regularly for GMP and quality compliance

Evaluate suppliers’ internal functions to assess overall performance and provide feedback on their operations

Collaborate with Component Engineers to develop and deliver Product Acceptance Sampling Strategies, ASL coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products

Pay: 40-54

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
