Supplier Quality Engineer

Requirements

Strong background in Quality Systems related to Supplier Controls.

Proven excellence in structured problem solving (DMAIC, CAPA, 8D or equivalent).

Experience with SAP, Agile PLM, and TrackWise (nice to have).

PPAP planning and execution; development of control plans and receiving inspection criteria.

Statistical methods for acceptance sampling, MSA/Gage R&R, SPC, and data analysis.

Knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, ISO 14971, and supplier audit practices.

Change control experience including supplier change requests, SCARs, and deviations.

Ability to generate and review component engineering lifecycle deliverables and quality records.

Preferred Skills

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt; ASQ CQE or equivalent certification.

Test Method Validation (TMV) for internal methods; verification/validation planning (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Electronic/mechanical component experience (metals, plastics, PCBA, cables, assemblies).

Risk management (DFMEA/PFMEA), DFM/DFA collaboration, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction.

Quality systems auditing (lead/internal auditor), supplier scorecarding, and supplier development.

Proficiency with sampling standards (e.g., ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or ISO 2859) and APQP artifacts.

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in corrective/preventive action teams to resolve supplier-related issues (nonconformances, CAPA, audit findings, complaints).

Coach teams on supplier quality principles, quality system requirements, statistics, and technical analysis.

Define component qualification strategy (PPAP), partner with suppliers on qualification plans, report performance, and demonstrate release readiness.

Author/review engineering lifecycle deliverables; create control plans to ensure appropriate acceptance activities.

Qualify suppliers per company standards; administer Certified Supplier/receiving inspection programs as applicable.

Monitor supplied parts through the manufacturing cycle; communicate and resolve supplier problems as they occur.

Evaluate supplier processes and performance; provide feedback and drive improvements.

Provide technical guidance and compliance leadership for Supplier Quality across the product lifecycle to ensure conformity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.

Develop and maintain Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier-Owned Quality deployment, and control plans for existing products.

Define receiving inspection and associated Test Method Validation for internal test methods.

Lead evaluation and approval of supplier change requests.

Plan, execute, and manage assigned projects; coordinate cross-functionally to achieve deliverables.

Support internal and external audits/inspections, including preparation and closure of findings.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders at multiple levels to ensure timely, approvable Supplier CAPA records.



Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
