Job Description

Onsite: The successful candidate will be expected to report to our engine assembly plant in Flint, Michigan, five times per week, at a minimum.

The Role (Responsibilities):

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Supplier Quality Analyst to join our team at a high-volume engine manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring that all incoming components and materials from external suppliers meet rigorous quality standards before integration into engine production. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers, engineering, and production teams to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry and internal standards.

What You'll Do:Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using key metrics, such as PPMSet up containment activities for suspect and/or non-conforming supplier partsCollaborate with other Quality personnel to ensure suspect/non-conforming materials are contained properlyDevelop and manage inspection plans for incoming materials and componentsInvestigate non-conforming materials and lead corrective action processes with suppliersFacilitate root cause analysis using tools such as Red X, Fishbone diagrams, and 5 WhysCollaborate with cross-functional teams including external suppliers, purchasing, engineering, and productionParticipate in APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and process changesMaintain documentation such as audit reports and supplier quality recordsParticipate in quality audits and reviews as necessary (i.e. BIQ, internal assessments)Attend cross-functional meetings and quality reviewsManage 3rd party onsite inspection services for supplier partsParticipate in 3rd party inspection services’ SOTs and BPD reviewsYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or engineeringBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical fieldProficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliersStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesGeneral knowledge of print:  reading, interpretation and part measurementCustomer-focused mindset with managerial courageEffective decision-makingWhat Will Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications):Previous experience in engine manufacturing or automotive supplier qualityFamiliarity with APQP, PPAP, and launch readiness processesKnowledge of machining, casting, or electronics componentsKnowledge of engine manufacturing processesHands-on experience on the production floorExcellent multi-tasking skills&#xa;&#xa;This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.&#xa;&#xa;The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.&#xa;&#xa;This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.&#xa;&#xa;
