Daikin Applied is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer! This position will manage the processes governing supplier quality. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will interface with the supplier base and cross functional business units to qualify new suppliers, new parts, resolve nonconformities, and drive continuous process and product improvements. Location: In office - Plymouth MNWhat you will do: Assesses supplier performance by performing analytical analysis. Reports and communicates analysis findings with recommendations for improvementEstablishes regular contact mechanisms with current suppliers and potential new suppliers regarding projects, self-assessments, qualifications, and supplier on-site audit planningResponsible for assessing potential new suppliers and making recommendations based on thorough vetting processesResponsible for issuing supplier level corrective actions (SCARs) and assisting suppliers in implementing the corrective actionsResponsible for monitoring SCARs to ensure response and effectivenessActs as the representative for quality during new product development and supplier transition projectsResponsible for identifying PPAP levels and PPAP approvalResponsible for managing multiple projects ensuring project milestones are achievedSupplier Change Request engagement as required to support supplier changesOther duties as requiredSome travel may be required up to 15% domestic and internationalWhat’s in it for you: The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in engineering or related technical field3+ Years of related experience or trainingWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or HVACProfessional certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma or similarDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:
