Job Description
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead the supplier quality portion of MRB and address non-conformance product issues using established systems. You will execute quality tools applicable to the assigned products and suppliers, such as contract review, sampling plans, auditing principles, SPC, MSA, First Articles, FMEA, PFMEA, and calibration systems, to understand and resolve issues within the supply base. A solid understanding and implementation of relevant product or customer specifications, flow-down documents, procedures, engineering or process drawings, and regulatory requirements are crucial.
ResponsibilitiesLead the supplier quality portion of MRB and non-conformance product issues.Execute quality engineering tools applicable to the assigned products and suppliers.Understand and implement product or customer specifications, flow-down documents, and regulatory requirements.Issue, monitor, and maintain the corrective action database.Work effectively with suppliers to resolve problems using Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) tools.Proactively analyze supplier performance data for continuous improvement opportunities.Utilize available data to establish schedules and perform required audits of assigned suppliers.Maintain accurate and current supplier quality records, such as audits, certifications, and corrective action responses.Consult and advise with the Sourcing team to select and manage assigned suppliers.Travel to assigned suppliers, as necessary, both domestically and internationally.Essential SkillsQuality engineeringPPAPMRBQuality controlISO 9001QMSBachelor's degree in engineering or related technical fieldSupplier quality engineering processesBlueprint/schematic readingAutomotive or aerospace backgroundLean Six SigmaAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in automotive or aerospace industries preferred
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
