The Successful Candidate BAE Systems is seeking a Director of Supplier Quality Mechanical & Interconnect Categories, who will report to the Senior Director of Supplier Quality. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the Supplier Quality Assurance program, supporting all BAE ES business units, to improve product and process quality and delivery within the supply chain. This role will be directly responsible for the management of supplier quality across the Mechanical & Interconnect categories supply base. This individual will lead a geographically diverse team of professionals responsible for a proactive approach including AS9145, Lean-6Sigma, and Quality science tool deployment and continuous improvement that will have substantial impact on the KPIs, business results, and on delivering operational excellence to customers. This individual must be a self-starting leader who can effectively partner with multiple functional organizations internally (BAE Electronic Systems) and externally (Supply Base) for success. Responsibilities: + Develop, execute, lead, and enhance the supplier quality strategy in partnership with Supply Chain and Engineering on category management and business strategy, and aligned to business area short and long-term objectives + Total ownership of the category supply base quality through product life cycle, from initial sourcing to development, launch, and ongoing business management + Develop and implement a category based supplier development strategy that includes capability, performance, quality, cost, and delivery improvements to our internal and external customers, using AS9145, Lean-6Sigma, and Quality science tools + Evaluate, qualify, create development plans, and manage the status for suppliers in the maintenance of the ASL + Drive rapid Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects and communicate to internal partners manage the SCAR process + Monitor, report on, and improve on key supplier KPIs, understanding root cause(s) of changes in metrics, identify trends and associated action plans + Drive AS9145 deployment in key suppliers of the category supply base to mitigate risk + Partner with Supply Chain to maintain a One-Voice BAE message to the supply base and internal partners + In collaboration with the business area Supplier Quality leads, drive the SCAR, Audit, supplier change management, quality agreements, risk management, source inspection, and FAI processes + Responsible for engaging key supplier s management in a business review process to monitor metrics, identify trends and implement programs to assure demonstrated performance improvements lead senior leadership discussions during challenging performance situations + Manages and develops an high performing and diverse team of Supplier Quality Engineers + Own and manage the Supplier Quality budget for your Category + Enhance supplier and organization quality culture through coaching and technical engagement Preferred location is Nashua, NH with a hybrid schedule. However, for the right individual, this position can be worked remotely from any location within the continental United States. \#supplierquality **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing and 12 years of relevant experience + Experience, or related experience in Supplier Quality + Eperience managing teams + Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) + Experience with ISO 9000:2000 + Significant experience with, and an understanding of, sourcing and execution in regulated, demanding industries such as Aerospace/Defense, Medical Device, Automotive, or other challenging markets + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and in diverse and different settings + Self-starter; identifies challenges/problems and takes the initiative to identify solutions + Must demonstrate high degree of compliance, flexibility and efficiency in building systems and trust with suppliers and customers including regulatory agencies + Motivates team members, fosters and nurtures teamwork + Can diffuse high-tension situations calmly and effectively + Must be able to travel **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + 10 years direct experience, or related experience in Supplier Quality; 5 years experience managing teams + Experience with ISO 9000:2000, AS9100 Quality Systems + AS9145 + Lean and 6Sigma certifications a plus **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
