Position Summary

As a Senior Quality & Development Staff Engineer, you will recommend and drive changes to sustain and improve our quality competencies and capabilities while providing support to development and implementation teams in translating and integrating new or improved products and applying knowledge of our products and processes to help resolve manufacturing and design problems to ensure quality expectations are being met.  


Responsibilities

Accountable for quality metrics impacted by their team within a product category teamAdapts and prioritizes own work based on technical work plan or functional plansComprehensive understanding of Energizer Quality Management SystemApply quality principles and design intent knowledge of products for improvements to current processes, suppliers, and quality systemsIdentify trends or concerns from data reviews that relate to underlying systems or process issuesParticipate and/or lead teams for projects related to improving products, suppliers and equipment for cost savings, supply assurance or reliability improvementParticipate and/lead risk assessment activities and ensure proper Change Management protocols are followedLead and coordinate problem solving efforts encountered by operations or suppliers that impact the quality/reliability of our productsCommunicate product, supplier, and performance issues within the category quality team and in applicable cross-functional reviewsSupport new product development projects to meet identified time/cost/performance objectivesLead the audit process and conduct/ follow up on external supplier on-site audits, self-audits, technical audits, process audits and launch readiness reviewsMonitor and improve supplier performance; lead supplier improvement plansFacilitate the raw material approval process to verify the product/material meet the design inputsAddress plant quality events utilizing problem solving methodologies; Drive to true root cause and implement robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issuesImprove quality systems based on KPIs (such as process documentation, change management, incoming quality, trace-ability systems, and post-production testing)Follow, implement, and monitor internal Supplier Quality policies to verify the results for effectivenessAssist in driving improvements in the policies and policy complianceProvide training/coaching to internal cross-functional teams and suppliers as needed to improve current and needed capabilities to meet Energizer needsMay also perform additional duties as assigned
What we are looking for

7 years’ experience in Supplier Management, Supplier Quality and Supplier DevelopmentBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or ManagementAbility to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language to all levels in the organizationQuality Management Systems ExperienceKnowledge of problem solving methodologiesExperience in manufacturing environments addressing supplier operations to improve performance, expand capability, increase capacity, and lower costsUp to 25% travelPlant-based/office position

What we prefer

Experience with consumer goods and high-speed manufacturingInternal or external auditor certificationProfessional Quality CertificationsLean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification

Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is USD $87,000.00/Yr. - USD $128,000.00/Yr.


Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.


Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
