Position Summary As a Senior Quality & Development Staff Engineer, you will recommend and drive changes to sustain and improve our quality competencies and capabilities while providing support to development and implementation teams in translating and integrating new or improved products and applying knowledge of our products and processes to help resolve manufacturing and design problems to ensure quality expectations are being met. Responsibilities + Lead and improve the supplier audit system by managing comprehensive audit programs—including on-site and remote self-audits, technical and process audits, and launch readiness reviews—to ensure alignment with design intent and internal standards + Drive supplier performance transformation, leading improvement plans that leverage data analytics, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable gains in quality, cost, and delivery + Manage and improve the chemical and mechanical raw material approval process to verify the incoming product/material meet the design inputs + Champion resolution of large-scale plant quality events utilizing advanced problem-solving methodologies + Drive to a true root cause with suppliers and implementation of robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues + Innovate and optimize supplier management quality systems using KPI-driven insights to enhance workflows, traceability, incoming inspection, post-production testing, and change management protocols + Drive policy excellence, ensuring Supplier Quality policies are effectively implemented, monitored, and continuously improved for compliance and operational impact + Develop organizational capability by coaching internal teams and suppliers, delivering targeted training that builds technical depth, quality ownership, and readiness for future challenges + Lead strategic quality initiatives across teams, drive accountability for performance metrics and foster a culture of continuous improvement + Champion innovation by applying advanced quality engineering principles to reimagine existing workflows, elevate supplier capabilities, and optimize internal quality management system + Develop and execute forward-thinking technical work plans, prioritizing work that aligns with evolving business needs and breakthrough quality solutions + Analyze complex data trends to uncover systemic issues and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve root causes with scalable, sustainable solutions + Spearhead high-impact projects focused on product, supplier, and equipment enhancements—delivering measurable results in cost efficiency, supply assurance, and reliability + Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams, guiding operations and supplier partners through structured methodologies to resolve quality and reliability challenges + Serve as a key communicator and influencer, articulating product and supplier performance insights across category teams and broader organizational forums. + Support new product development projects by providing strategic quality input to ensure time, cost, and performance goals are met or exceeded + Lead with agility and vision, adapting to evolving business needs and contributing to strategic initiatives beyond core responsibilities to support Energizer’s growth and innovation agenda What we are looking for + 7 years’ experience in Supplier Management, Supplier Quality and Supplier Development + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Management + Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language to all levels in the organization + Quality Management Systems Experience + Knowledge of problem solving methodologies + Experience in manufacturing environments addressing supplier operations to improve performance, expand capability, increase capacity, and lower costs + Up to 25% travel + Plant-based/office position What we prefer + Experience with consumer goods and high-speed manufacturing + Internal or external auditor certification + Professional Quality Certifications + Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $87,000.00/Yr. - USD $128,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
