In this role, you can expect to lead quality initiatives that directly impact aircraft performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate with different departments, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Quality Systems Development: Create and update quality procedures to align with current practices and regulatory requirementsAudit Regulatory Compliance: Lead FAA and government audits, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure compliance and prevent recurrenceData Analysis Process Improvement: Analyze performance metrics such as scrap, defects, and rework to identify trends and drive cross-functional improvement initiativesSupplier Production Audits: Conduct audits across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure product and process integrityIssue Prioritization Resolution: Address quality concerns based on customer impact, coordinating across disciplines to implement effective solutionsCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, supply chain, and customer service teams to enhance quality and operational efficiencyWhat you need to be successful:
Engineering or STEM degree plus 2 years of quality/manufacturing experience(OR)7 years of aviation quality experience with a technical degree, associate’s degree, or AP licenseStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience with AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, and special processingFamiliarity with tools like PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical techniquesASQ certifications and project management experience are a plus
