Supplier Operations Coordinator-12 months FTC

The Supplier Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of daily supply chain activities. This individual is responsible for placing and managing purchase orders with OEM suppliers, coordinating logistics and cross-functional teams, and maintaining optimal inventory levels

This position reports to the Global Supplier Operations Manager and is part of the Inventory and Production planning team located in Cambridge and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Execute daily purchase order management: Place and manage daily purchase orders with OEM suppliers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with supply plans.Supplier & Logistics Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, logistics team, and internal teams (Accounts Payable, Supply Planning, product managers etc.) to ensure timely delivery and resolution of supply issues.Inventory Monitoring: Track and maintain optimal stock levels across assigned portfolio to prevent stockouts and support service level targets.Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier KPIs, identify risks or delays, and drive resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain operations, procurement, or logistics.Systems Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel for data analysis and reporting.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience working with OEM suppliers in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Familiarity with supply planning tools or inventory optimization techniques.
