Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $98,300.00 – 132,700.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Drive material availability for production. Responsible for end-to-end supply chain by ensuring on-time material availability for production. Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring adequate supply for production and minimizing excess inventory. Conduct demand and supply gap analysis to identify and mitigate potential material risks and disruptions in supply chain. Foresee and escalate issues to identify and put in place mitigation measures. Coordinate and drive mitigation measures and ensure that all stakeholders are well informed of the issues, actions being taken, and ultimate material delivery dates. Develop and implement materials management strategies to support company growth and objectives. Ensure visibility of critical shortages and impact of material delays on project timelines to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategic procurement, production, project management, engineering, supplier quality, and logistics to optimize supply chain processes. Coordinate with vendors, supplier quality and engineering to work on Engineering changes through medium of engineering drawings and bill of materials. Guide and coordinate materials planning meetings to ensure alignment and communication across departments. Attend Engineering/Procurement meetings to evaluate schedule impacts and escalate issues to management. Support planning & coordination of new Projects, new components and engineering changes and assess the impact to Production Schedules. Work with Engineering & Change Management to develop roadmaps for the phase-out of obsolete parts and phase-in of new production materials. Provide input to demand planning, strategic sourcing, quality management, Material Review Board & Production teams to improve, identify & coordinate material issues to avoid impact due to non-conforming materials. Conduct regular analysis of materials data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials management to recommend new strategies and technologies.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology Management, Industrial Engineering or related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in a Supplier Management Professional-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology Management, Industrial Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Supplier Management Professional-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Review and analyze system need dates (demand), supplier commitments (supply), and current production status to identify gaps and critical material issues using SAP system software and advanced Excel.
2. Plan and coordinate new project introduction, new components, engineering changes, and production schedule changes.
3. Working with supply chain management, inventory management and warehousing to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
4. Prepare and report KPI using excel, SAP/ERP, tableau, and power point related to inventory, material availability, supplier performance and material cost.
