Supervisor Supply Chain

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily activities to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective execution of processes related to the movement of goods and materials. This role involves supervising a team and coordinating activity with partners and peers.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and collaborate with a team of employees, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability through open communication and leading by example, engaging with the team by utilizing both group and individual meetings. Organize daily activities to align with team-focused priorities, delivering on company and customer objectives. Comply with relevant laws and standards, including health, safety, environmental regulations, and an understanding of licensing requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. Maintain strong team relationships, fostering collaboration with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans to ensure team effectiveness.   Conduct daily staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety guidelines. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational costs. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements. Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:

Responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of various levels of staff.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:        

Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience at a senior or lead level; or 1 – 3 years of experience as a Supervisor.General computer knowledge, Windows, Word, and Excel with excellent typing skills.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.Strong performance management and talent development background.  Excellent customer service with phone and multitasking skills.Ability to perform under stressful situations and demonstrate potential problem-solving skills.Must be calm under pressure with ability to be a team leader.Ability to apply and understand how to carry out instructions furnished in writing or oral form.Understanding of department safety rules, procedures manuals and instructions with the ability to train direct report employees.The ability to operate material handling equipment.
