**RN Supervisor – Transport**
**McLane Children’s Hospital – Baylor Scott & White Health**
**Full-Time | Primarily Days (8AM–4PM) | Occasional Weekends | Call Every Other Week**
**Summary**
The RN Supervisor – Transport provides clinical and operational leadership to the Pediatric/NICU Transport teams within McLane Children’s Hospital. This role supports safe, efficient, and high‑quality transport services for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients while fostering a strong culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and professional development.
The Supervisor functions as a working leader—supporting staff, coordinating operations, and stepping into clinical shifts when needed to maintain staffing and service continuity.
**Department Overview**
The Transport department consists of three teams totaling 35 staff:
+ **Unit-Based Team:** 16 employees
+ **Primary Team:** 11 employees
+ **Round Rock Team:** 8 employees
These teams support neonatal and pediatric patient transports within the McLane Children’s service area.
**Must-Have Qualifications**
+ Minimum **2 years of Critical Care experience** (NICU or PICU required).
+ Previous **transport experience** (pediatric or neonatal).
+ Active RN license; BLS and relevant specialty certifications as required by policy.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**
+ 1+ years dedicated transport experience.
+ Prior leadership or charge nurse experience.
+ Experience in **both** NICU and PICU transport settings.

**Job Summary**
Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ EDUCATION - Associate's Degree
+ MAJOR - Nursing
+ EXPERIENCE - (2) Two Years of Experience
+ CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
