Supervisor-Radiology & Imaging

Job Summary: The Supervisor-Radiology and Imaging is responsible for supervising the radiology clinic staff to ensure proper operation and workflow of the clinic.  Administers x-rays to patients following prescribed protocols for intraoral, panoramic and CBCT radiographic examinations.   Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of two years experience with panoramic and Cone Beam Tomography imaging required.   Supervisory experience preferred.  Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Knowledge and Skills: Supervisory principles and practices. Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; these include but are not limited to, MS Word, Excel, CS 3D, InVivo 5.2 or greater, and other software, as deemed necessary. Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications: Certified dental assistant program, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification, X-ray license required. Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license may be substituted. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
