Position Summary

The Supervisor of System Procurement is responsible for the efficient management of daily operations and functions of the Procurement department system-wide. The Supervisor assures attainment of financial performance goals, human resource management, quality, KPIs, product, and performance standards, and management expectations.

Responsibilities

Oversees the daily operations of Procurement for the System.  Supervises staff by providing direction and guidance and administering management functions within the provisions of MultiCare policies and standards and federal, state and local regulations. Daily leads team by understanding and articulating the current operational status and leads team’s focus to deliver the best outcomes for the day.  Weekly assesses the operational status of the organization.  Provides feedback to the team and management regarding the status of the operations, creates and executes specific plans for improvements. Leader in system tools and the ERP for the department.  Understands how the system works related to Procurement, troubleshoots, trains, and provides suggestions for improvements.  Develops Procurement staff through ongoing in-service education, on-the-job training, formal education options, and evaluations.Initiates and facilitates recommendations for continuous improvement of workflow, based on LEAN principles.Develops and implements ‘best practice’ policies, procedures, and processes for Procurement and Database management, in compliance with MHS policy.Establishes key performance indicators to support standardization, contract compliance, and pricing analysis to ensure good stewardship of MHS finances

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferredMinimum four (4) years of experience in Procurement required, healthcare procurement experience preferredPrevious experience and demonstrated skills in a lead or a supervisory role

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $76,710.00 - $110,365.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
