Supervisor - Patient Transport Services - York Hospital - Full-Time - Evening

**Schedule**
Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly
**General Summary**
Oversees the day to day activities of the hospital's Central Transport Service personnel and functional activities in regards to safe and timely transports of patients. Performs activities related to the provision of transport services to patients such as scheduling, coordinating and assigning transporters.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Assesses all day-to-day activities to ensure improvements.
+ Establishes work schedules and prioritizes to ensure that work flow is controlled.
+ Performs dispatching duties such as receiving transport requests, dispatching available transporters based on established priorities, coordinating transports to minimize delay's and maintaining appropriate documentation.
+ Trains and orients transporters.
+ Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
**Common Expectations:**
+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
+ Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
+ Holds staff meetings quarterly or as needed.
+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Education:**
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
**Work Experience:**
+ 1 year Relevant experience. Required and
+ Supervisory experience Preferred
**Licenses:**
+ Heartsaver CPR/AED Upon Hire Required
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Experience in MS Windows, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet.
+ Excellent communications/interpersonal skills and typing skills.
