Our Schaffhausen facility is a strategic launch and growth site for parenteral products, with an impressive pipeline of new and innovative products. **We are searching for the best talent to join us as Supervisor - Optical Inspection in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.** **Purpose:** In this role, you will lead and develop a large production team, ensure safe and compliant operations in automated and semi‑automated optical inspection, support production planning, manage daily operational performance, and drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, and compliance. **You will be responsible for:** • Ensuring full compliance with GMP, EHS and SOX requirements within the functional area • Leading and developing a team of 20+ shift operators and team coordinators • Supporting production planning (together with Planning) with focus on automated and semi-automated inspection systems • Allocating orders and teams to the relevant production areas • Conducting daily production tours and reviewing Tier‑1 boards, initiating measures where needed • Monitoring absences of shift operators and initiating appropriate actions • Creating, processing, monitoring, and closing non-conformances, investigations, CAPAs, corrections, CPAs, and change controls • Developing performance trends from shift data and defining and implementing countermeasures **This role requires working in a 3-shift model.** **Qualifications / Requirements:** • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent required; preferred in Natural Sciences, Engineering, IT, Industrial Automation, Data Analytics, or similar discipline • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience ; experience in Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, MSAT or Planning • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, able to influence without direct authority • Experience handling non-conformances, investigations, and effective CAPAs • Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical or cGMP manufacturing environment and in visual/optical inspection • Willingness to work in a 3‑shift operational model • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive “can‑do” mindset At Johnson & Johnson, we want every candidate to feel supported throughout the hiring process.
