Reviews production schedules and ensures that materials are available and placed into production areaAssigns and schedules work; establishes prioritiesMaintains optimal inventory levels; oversees and executes effective cycle countsOversees receiving of all plant materialsEnsures that deadlines are met; informs manager/president of delays in materials shipment and/or inventory functionsMaterial Supervisor Minimum Qualifications:
Regular attendance essentialAble to pass drug screen and background checkExpertise with Microsoft OfficeForklift certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)Managerial experience preferredFluency in OSHA regulationsWork Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
