How will you make an impact?
The Supervisor is a hands-on role and owns the Maintenance reliability activities, including leading all maintenance and engineering staff and coordinating planned, scheduled, and emergent work. You will also ensure all budgets and schedules are maintained.
What will you do?
Set clear team goals.Delegate tasks and set deadlines.Supervise day-to-day operation.Monitor team performance and report on metrics.Discover training needs and provide mentor.Champion continued efficiency improvements using metrics, TPM, 5S, and the PPI process.Run small Engineering related and Mechanical Maintenance-related projects from conception to implementation.During the absence of Senior Management, perform the daily duties and lead all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance/Engineering Department.Implement factory strategy according to the engineering department annual plan.Designs, specifics, lead and supports projects for new equipment implementing modifications to improve operational performance and product quality.Write documentation that specifies and validates manufacturing systems.Ensures compliance with factory SOP’s, safe work practices, and cGMP regulations.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, or industrial.3+ years of successful track record in a manufacturing environment in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device industry a plus.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Knowledge of manufacturing / mechanical processes and equipment.Experience with people leadership. - advantageAbility stand & work at a desk for extended periods and occasionally climb ladder to gain roof access.Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and practices.Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite and mechanical and technical skills
