Here's the Scoop – SummaryAs a Maintenance Supervisor, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. You will supervise and coach the Maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient execution of the maintenance works and optimal operational effectiveness in line with corporate and site objectives.

What a typical day looks like:

Safety

Ensure compliance to Company’s policies, practices and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the EnvironmentComply with all safety training and departmental SOPs, and with all regulations relating to equipment and chemical approvals for a food manufacturing facilityEnsure that all reporting employees are aware of, and comply with, company policies and procedures related to health and safety and to the environment and commit to personal compliance

Leadership

Provide direction, supervision to diverse workforce of 5 to 10 employeesRecruit, hire, train and manage employee performanceProvide daily direction to team and ensure job tasks are done efficiently and safelyManage time & attendance of teamDevelop and maintain good communication practices with departmental Production staff to advise of lead times required to obtain maintenance parts, and/or services

Maintenance

Assist in the identification and implementation of industry best practices, procedures and service systems that will successfully address day-to-day maintenance issues and create opportunity to improve future production capacities and/or productivityOversee implementation and compliance with all aspects of security, preventative and reliability maintenance for the building, equipment and inventory, and all environmental issues and health and safety aspects for the departmental workforceAnalyze equipment issues, identify solutions, or determine options for resolution and ensure repairs to the facility and/or equipment are carried out on a least cost basisCreate and maintain appropriate work orders, reports, and records, including information related to repair turn-around timeParticipate in regular discussions and/or meetings with the Manager, Maintenance with regard to determination of budget items related to maintenance and other related issues

What are we looking for?3 to 5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, preferably in food industryEngineering graduate preferably Electrical or MechanicalAbility to successful complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol and Fit-to-Work test up to 75 lbsAbility to clear a Criminal Record Check

Working ConditionsShift: Monday – Friday – Day Shift (6:00AM to 2:30PM)Working inside a clean, modern, state-of-the-art pet food manufacturing facility, with brand new equipment.
