Job Summary
The Supervisor of Information Services II manages a technical team. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating assignments and projects.
Essential Functions of the Role
Is accountable for technical efforts and team lead responsibilities. This includes applying technical development, design, testing, implementation, and production help.Tracks requests from users and ensures effectiveness and timeliness of completion by personnel.Makes appropriate recommendations and resolves problems identified.Provides consultative services to assigned areas and acts as a liaison between the department, users, and other personnel. Attends meetings to represent the department.Ensures the quality of and measures the effectiveness of customer service.Assists in gathering information for the budget process as well as forecasts needs and costs associated with the process.Designs and implements on-going training for personnel to ensure their proficiency.Key Success Factors
Knowledge of project management processes preferred.Must have exceptional communication skills to listen, provide appropriate feedback, and escalate if necessary.Must have at least three years of IT/IS experience, or supervisory experience in another area.Belonging Statement
