**Job Description**
BAE Systems Norfolk Maritime Solutions is hiring a Craft Supervisor in the Paint Shop. The applicant will be responsible for overseeing Painters (regular and temporary employees) assigning work on multiple assignments during a workday and monitoring progress on assigned projects. Oversee and monitor schedule performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigate late activities, and provide input for solutions as needed. Monitor and evaluate project budget performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, and develop productivity enhancements. Monitor productivity across all assigned contracts; access the amount and type of work assigned as well as the quality and quantity of work accomplished. Develop project schedules and budgets during the planning phase. Perform personnel related functions including , but not limited to the supervision of journeymen, workforce reductions, promotions, demotions and discipline. Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to and are clearly understood by subordinates. This includes Environmental, ISO, and Safety. Accomplish timekeeping and time approval duties. Train and motivate employees in the areas of technical knowledge, environmental requirements, safety and the importance of communication. Ensure that inter-departmental communications are maintained. Ensure the requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement are properly enforces. Represent the Company in matters relative to labor relations within the shop. Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
**Required Experience and Education** :
+ 11 Years with HS
+ 7 Years with AA
+ 5 Years with BS or Apprentice Graduate
Candidates selected for this position are expected to work the time required to accomplish the responsibilities of this position (more than 40 hours including weekends). This position is eligible for Extended Work Time Compensation (EWTC) for hours worked in excess of 45 weekly.
Candidates selected for this position must be willing to work off-site including travel to other sites to support work assignments. Candidates must be able to obtain a DBIDS badge for work at government facilities.
Must have 5 years of marine Painter experience, preferably NBPI Certified.
Previous Supervisory experience in Paint Shop. Having knowledge of spray painting processes. Has an understanding of Standard Items and must completely understand the requirements of 009-32.
Apprentice graduate preferred but not required.
**Required Skills** :
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the trade.
+ Responsible for ensuring the company goals for safety, quality and productivity are aggressively pursued.
+ Oversee and monitor schedule performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigate late activities, and assist project supervision in development of practical solutions.
+ Monitor and evaluate project budget performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, develop productivity enhancements and investigate over-budget items.
+ Allocate personnel and resources to efficiently support all contracts (including shift work).
+ Monitor productivity across all shifts including the amount and type of work assigned as well as the quality and quantity of work accomplished.
+ Review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
+ Ensure that company policies are adhered to, and the policies are clearly understood by subordinates (ISO, Environmental and Safety).
+ Train and motivate employees in the areas of technical knowledge, safety, environmental and communication.
+ Ensure that inter-departmental relations are maintained.
+ Ensure that requirements of the labor agreement are properly enforced.
+ Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned.
+ Must be able to work all shifts.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930
