Job Overview:
The Certified Medical Assistant Supervisor is a key clinical leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical assistant team across a multi-specialty medical office hub. This role ensures high standards of patient care, staff performance, and workflow efficiency. The CMA Supervisor provides direct clinical support, trains and mentors medical assistants, monitors compliance with clinical protocols, and serves as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and practice leadership. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant college coursework preferredActive Certified Medical Assistant credentialCurrent Basic Life Support certification requiredMinimum 3 years of experience as a CMA in a medical office or ambulatory care settingMinimum 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferredExperience working in a multi-specialty practice and with EMR systems -EPIC preferredKnowledge of clinical protocols, medical terminology, and regulatory requirementsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead by example and foster a collaborative team environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailCertifications and Licenses Required:

Supervise, train, and support a team of Certified Medical Assistants across multiple specialtiesCoordinate daily staffing to ensure adequate coverage and efficient patient flowConduct performance evaluations, coach staff on best practices, and address performance concerns as neededOversee clinical workflows and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standardsAssist with onboarding and ongoing training of new clinical staffSupport providers during exams and procedures as needed, including rooming patients, administering injections, and documenting in the EMREnsure accurate documentation and adherence to HIPAA and infection control standardsMaintain clinical supplies, oversee inventory, and coordinate equipment maintenanceCollaborate with practice leadership on quality improvement initiatives and operational goalsServe as a point of contact for patient concerns related to clinical care and escalate as appropriateOther Duties:
