The Environmental Services Supervisor will provide direction, support, training and motivation for post-event housekeeping staff and contracted services within T-Mobile Center. This role requires maintaining the highest possible standards and integrity is of utmost importance.
Essential Duties:
+ Perform Clean-Telligent inspections in assigned areas and provide feedback to team members. Correct all deficiencies to meet or exceed TMC’s Cleaning Protocol. 2 CT inspections per day: 10 per week.
+ Provide direction, support, timely feedback, and recognition of approximately 40-75 part-time and contracted staff during daily, event, and post-event cleanup of the facility to ensure building standards are met and maintained.
+ Train staff in the proper completion of tasks and use of standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum cleaners, buffers, wet vacuums, walk-behind scrubbers, ride-on scrubbers, carpet extractors, and rotary machines) to ensure equipment damage and repair costs are kept to a minimum.
+ Perform general cleaning duties as business demands. Effectively, while providing exceptional customer service as needed.
+ Forecast necessary staffing levels and work schedules to ensure efficient coverage. Assign event, post-event, and daily housekeeping crews based on the needs and requirements to ensure proper deployments and standards are maintained.
+ Report equipment problems and maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and safety hazards or unsafe work conditions to management
+ Interface with management to ensure impeccable cleaning standards are maintained and company safety & security procedures are followed.
+ Organize and maintain supplies in rooms/closets, and work with building staff to ensure recycling guidelines are met and adhered to.
+ Perform an inventory of equipment.
+ Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
+ A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
+ 2-4 years of supervisor experience.
+ Proven ability to identify and resolve problems promptly; gather and analyze information skillfully. Must be able to develop solutions quickly and effectively.
+ Knowledge of equipment, cleaning supplies and methods to be used on various surfaces.
+ Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and necessary safety precautions (chemicals, safe handling and MSDS requirements).
+ Attention to Detail - Achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
+ Proven ability to maintain effective professional working relationships with all levels of staff in a diverse workforce.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email correspondence.
+ Ability to complete projects efficiently & on time with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
+ Communication: In English, speaks and listens clearly; Writes clearly and informatively, maintaining professionalism in all communications.
+ Ability to manage teams of people to complete tasks by given deadlines.
+ Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, overnights, weekends and some holidays.
Physical Requirements:
+ Able to lift/carry objects weighing and move materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to move efficiently about the venue for extended periods during shift, including positioning oneself to complete projects over, under, through and up/down stairs.
+ Able to work with machines, including but not limited to floor scrubbers, polishers, and mops.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-4 years’ housekeeping/custodial experience in a commercial facility
+ Knowledge of various types of floor care and carpet extraction is a plus.
+ Bachelor’s Degree
