Responsibilities
The EVS/Laundry Supervisor role is essential for the smooth daily operation of our Environmental Services and Laundry departments. This position oversees scheduling and workload distribution for Environmental Services and Laundry Aides. Furthermore, the Supervisor is responsible for creating and managing the department's budget, as well as addressing any issues that may arise.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**Directly supervising daily activities within the EVS and Laundry Departments. This encompasses managing staffing levels, workload distribution, recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations, all while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety for patients, visitors, and staff.Maintaining clear and consistent communication, both written and verbal, with direct reports, internal customers, and management.Encouraging behaviors that align with CHI St. Joseph’s Health’s Core Values (Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence) and Service Promise (Kind Compassionate Care, Every Person, Every Time).Developing and managing department budgets, inventory, policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation.Identifying and supporting the developmental needs of team members through coaching, mentoring, and skill enhancement opportunities.Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDFive (5) years housekeeping or related experience and/or three (3) years experience in a supervisory role
Preferred:
