VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: SUPERVISOR – DOZERS & DRILLS

Reporting to the Coordinator – Dozers and Drills, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities related to the dozer fleet, including Caterpillar and Komatsu machines, and supporting drill maintenance where required.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise daily maintenance activities for dozers and related equipment, including work allocation and technician scheduling.
Supervise both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure equipment downtime is minimized.
Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring correct documentation and timely approval for all maintenance tasks.
Schedule and coordinate major repairs and component change-outs.
Ensure maintenance activities follow sound work management and cost-control procedures.
Act as a key liaison between maintenance and operations to align maintenance activities with production needs.
Provide accurate and timely input to maintenance planners to support forward scheduling and reliability improvements.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum of a Craft Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering field.
Significant 6 years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment maintenance.
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
Experience in heavy equipment maintenance supervision of dozers.
Mining industry experience required (open pit preferred).
Valid Zambian driver’s license.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate technical teams.
Familiarity with maintenance planning systems and reliability principles. (E.g SAP, Pronto and proficiency in Excel)
Strong leadership and communication skills.
