Safety-Kleen in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor (9 AM- 5:30 PM) to join their safety conscious team! The supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, in terms of optimizing, troubleshooting and performing corrective actions with the goal of maintaining optimum production.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices and policies, and by consistently modeling safe behaviors.Manage and maintain safe work practices, including adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and best industry standards.Safely verify, inspect, and inventory all inbound items.Manage and implement housekeeping processes to maintain an organized and safe work environment.Initiate and oversee all inventory counts, including year‑end full physical counts and weekly cycle counts, while troubleshooting and resolving any discrepancies.Develop, coach, and cross‑train staff to build team capability and flexibility.Organize and lead daily toolbox meetings to align the team on operational priorities.Run weekly safety meetings to reinforce safe practices and compliance.Apply mechanical knowledge to support warehouse operations.Clean and service machinery—such as generators, pumps, tools, and other equipment—while strictly following safety protocols.Implement training processes for staff on proper servicing and cleaning of machinery within the distribution center.Operate a forklift regularly; forklift experience is required.Leverage extensive warehouse operations experience to oversee efficient daily workflow.Demonstrate a sound understanding of inventory terminology and processes, including:SKUs (Stock Keeping Units)Cycle CountsUOM (Units of Measure)FIFO (First In, First Out)Pallet TagsBOLs (Bills of Lading)Pick TicketsExhibit a positive attitude with a morale‑building mindset, fostering a collaborative and productive team culture.Explain, teach, and train in a professional, clear, and patient manner to ensure team understanding and compliance.

What It Takes to Work for Safety-Kleen

High school diploma or GED required.Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and productivity.Able to perform all physical functions required by the job.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proactive approach with solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.Demonstrates a strong drive to meet deadlines and operational goals.Working knowledge of P&L, expense control, and revenue sources.Ability to work with and generate Bills of Lading (BOLs), Pick Tickets, and Pallet Tags.Must be able to verify all outbound loads in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.Forklift experience is required.Prior experience in a warehouse environment is mandatory.
