Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Position Summary: This position is responsible for day-to-day operations in Barberton’s Cast House. The role:
provides administrative support to department and works to ensure BU metric goals are met (Safety, Quality, Production)
accomplishes manufacturing results by:
communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages the activities of assigned employees. Conducts training, recommends adjustments to pay, completes performance appraisals, initiates timely corrective action, as appropriate (including attendance/tardiness).
Essential Duties:
Ensures the safety of all personnel working in or around department on all shiftsPlaces a high priority on coaching employees by establishing suitable goals, action plans and timelines.Delegates and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employees as they complete their action plans.Act as a role model and mentor for direction and development of employeesEnsure employees have appropriate and realistic job goals by providing ongoing feedback about the employee's performanceTroubleshoot issues interfering with production.Assists with problem solving and utilizing corrective action measures to prevent problem reoccurrence.Schedule of machines and set-ups in coordination with Plant Manager and supply chain to ensure that production quotas are met in the most efficient manner possible.Works to maintain the quality of the product being produced in the department on all shifts so that product meets quality standards.Verifies and dispositions questionable product to determine acceptability. Ensure that all assigned quality requirements are met.Coordinates with production to schedule quality inspection personnel to ensure proper quality support. Crewing schedule (2 working days, 2 off days, 3 working days, 3 off days)
