ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the organization, maintenance and management of three surgical services’ sites inventory (MOR, ASC, RASC), including perfusion, anesthesia and SPDs. Supervises 2 – 4 regularly scheduled physical inventories. Utilizes physical inventory results to measure and evaluate individual team members and supervise departmental performance. Assists with strategic initiatives to maintain proper inventory levels leveraging Oracle, POU and Epic, including PAR identification, maintenance and adherence. Monitors and assists in the budgetary process with leadership. Prepares, maintains, and distributes monthly departmental statistics and other reports as requested. Generate quarterly BUC (Bought/Used/Charged) reports to manage inventory. Collaborates with leadership on short- and long-term departmental goals based on BUC information and determines team members’ priorities based on results. Collaborates with strategic sourcing to ensure and maintain accurate item information and configurations in supply chain databases (Oracle, POU, EPIC, SPM), including the association of barcodes to items. Collaborates with nursing to maintain preference cards. Executes suggested edits and modifications based on supply chain management reports and operations. Oversees and analyzes the surgical services order process specific to supplies, implants and instrumentation, utilizing materials management systems to monitor replenishment, manual and overnight orders. Demonstrates the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Effectively utilizes conflict resolution and decision-making skills. Demonstrates the ability to handle changing and challenging priorities that may arise. Completes projects as assigned in a timely manner. Collaborates with leadership to adjust staff assignments when necessary to maximize unit productivity based upon staff competency, safety, and budget allocations. Participates in staff development, evaluates team performance and provides feedback, assists in the interview process and new employee orientation.OTHER ESSENTIAL PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Work week and hours may vary depending upon facility hours, including Saturday and Sundays as required. Maintains computer literacy and typing skills. Demonstrates competency in Word, Excel, and Power Point. Demonstrates competency in the use of the information system software. Communicates verbally and in writing, clearly, completely, accurately, and timely. Bachelor’s Degree Required 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Materials Management, preferably in Surgical Services Proficient in Excel, ERP Systems, navigating EMRs, preferably EPIC
