Supervisor - Business Intelligence

As the Supervisor - Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of Business Intelligence Analysts focused on the development of analytics and automated reporting solutions ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. You will work closely and collaboratively across multiple Wesco functional departments.

Responsibilities:

Leads a team of business intelligence analysts focused on analyzing problems and capabilities to develop solutions for improved analytic reporting. Oversees the creation and automation of recurring reports to support Wesco with actionable insights. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all BI outputs by implementing robust validation and governance processes. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, define KPIs, and deliver scalable analytics solutions. Drives continuous improvement by evaluating new BI tools and technologies, and recommending enhancements to existing reporting infrastructure. Supports the development of analytic models’ implementation into business applications. Participates in analytic & reporting projects. Coaches and develops team members through regular feedback, training sessions, and performance reviews to build analytical and technical capabilities. Conduct research and data mining to support business decision making and help to identify new market segments and industry opportunities. Train end users on newly deployed dashboards.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree – Business Analytics, IS, Data Science, CS, Economics, Statistics, Finance/Accounting, Industrial Engineering required; Masters Degree preferred. 2 years required supervisory or team lead role experience. 5 years of experience with multiple data formats, data manipulation and data mapping. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts. Proficiency in Power BI for building dashboards, visualizations, and star schema data models. Advanced SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets. Strong process and data mapping skills. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Strong presentation skills and ability to train others. Ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with business, IT, and data teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data manipulation and reporting. Familiarity with data governance, quality assurance, and documenting best practices. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
