Reporting to Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator-Crushing, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe efficient operation of the belt splices through the effective utilization of all resources provided.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of Conveyor belt splicers, rubber liners, Contractors and equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Manage shift roster, annual leave and sick leave etc. for the subordinates and ensure shift coverage.
Conduct daily safety meetings for the crews
Review and execute weekly maintenance schedules and ensure priority maintenance activities are prioritized and managed effectively
Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date procedures for all tasks performed within the function
Operate within the standard operating procedures (SOP) as directed by the maintenance coordinator
Review maintenance tasks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Full Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum of an Advanced Certificate in any Mechanical Field.
Certificate in Conveyor belts splicing and Rubber lining
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Conveyor belts maintenance and Rubber lining.
Must be computer literate with competence in MS excel with exposure to SAP or equivalent
Proven ability to show initiative and deliver results and act as a change agent
Demonstrate ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
Have a valid Zambian drivers’ license
Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
