VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: SUPERVISOR – 100 TON TRUCKS

Reporting to the Coordinator – 100 Ton Trucks, you will be responsible for coordinating technicians and leading the maintenance, repair, and performance optimization of the 100-ton haul truck fleet.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with production targets and operational priorities.
Overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities for the 100-ton truck fleet, including proper allocation and execution of tasks.
Working closely with maintenance planners, operations teams, and contractors to maximize fleet availability, reliability, and productivity.
Managing and prioritizing work orders, maintaining accurate documentation, and securing all necessary approvals.
Supervising both planned and unplanned maintenance work to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Coordinating repairs, component replacements, and scheduled maintenance activities.
Ensuring that all maintenance work follows approved procedures, standards, and cost-effective practices.
Liaising with operations to align maintenance schedules with production requirements.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and asset histories.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Craft/Advanced Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering field.
Six (6) years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment maintenance.
Proven background managing light and rubber-tyred equipment fleets.
Strong knowledge of haul truck systems, diagnostics, and component life cycles.
Valid Zambian driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate technical teams.
Familiarity with maintenance planning systems and reliability principles.
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
