Our Plant location in **Tipp City, OH** currently has an opportunity for a **Supervisor, Central Utilities** - 1st shift. **WHAT YOU’LL DO**
Supervising the CUB (Central Utilities Business):
• Responsible for the integrity of the CMMS System (Maximo) data accuracy for the CUB team’s maintenance activities
• Develop the strategies to improve equipment uptime and availability
• Develop and maintain the Asset Management Program for the CUB
• Manage the continual optimization of the asset care program through condition monitoring and Preventive Maintenance techniques
• Promote a positive culture that focuses on continuous improvement & operational excellence
• Lead the UEx (Utilility Excellence) Work Stream for the site and integrate to the Plant’s MOS
• Actively attend department meetings (Weekly Staff, Tier Reviews, Huddles, etc.)
• Drive to ensure successful root cause of asset driven events and follow through robust corrective and preventive action plans to prevent reoccurrence
• Oversee the Planning & Execution of the Annual CUB Shutdown activities from an asset management perspective
• Demonstrate Abbott’s Leadership Competencies (Anticipate, Innovate, Deliver Results, Build, Set Vision & Strategy)
• Actively monitor equipment log sheets for completeness, clarity, and accuracy
• Actively engage in understanding all of the duties associated with the CUB team members
• Develop extensive operational and technical understanding of all CUB equipment so as to provide oversight and strategic direction to direct reports. This includes obtaining a Boiler Operating License for the state of Ohio.
• Assist your manager in the development of strategic and tactical goal development for the department and teams that align with Site Strategy and goals
People:
• People Management: Kronos Time Management, Resourcing Requirements, Overtime requirements, training needs, development needs, vacation and PTO
• Provide direction to the team by reviewing the daily and weekly assigned work and prioritizing the activities for the shift/day/week based on current business needs
• Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures
• Leading and managing the CUB operators and multi-craft workload
• Ensuring the CUB team has the right staffing and skillset to match business needs
• Coach and direct individuals and teams in delivering all related performance improvements
• Continually identify, develop and promote talent across the CUB organization
• Ensure the right staffing & support for a 24x7 Plant Operation
• Provide regular performance reviews to direct reports as per Human Resources guidelines
• Reward & recognize talent and behaviors on a regular basis
• Oversee the Training Strategy & Implementation for the various functions within the CUB team 3rd party facilities management
GMP, Quality, Compliance and Food Safety:
• Ensure a strict Food Safety & GMP Compliance Culture by maintaining an audit ready facility
• Own efforts required to deliver quality and compliance performance through the development of procedures and training plans, while also coaching and holding all team members accountable
• Ensure & reinforce personnel to adhere and follow all Quality & Compliance Policies and Procedures
• Prepare for and actively participate in internal and external Quality/Regulatory audits
• Accountable for sustaining audit readiness through reinforcement of key programs such as 5S program, Master sanitation, PM program, etc.
• Prioritize and manage exceptions and abnormal events coupled with timely implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Financial/Business Responsibility:
• Ensure and monitor adherence to the CUB Budget Plan
• Provide input into the financial LBE’s for the CUB budget plan and submit to the maintenance manager as per the fiscal financial calendar
• Track and trend CUB budget adherence to ensure healthy financials to properly maintain equipment site wide
• Support the development and submittal of the annual CUB Budget Plan
• Continuously drive and execute cost improvement projects that match utilities excellence cost glide path strategies
• Allocate the appropriate spending to each CUB system based on facts and data considering failure frequency, risk of failure, reliability factors, age and obsolescence of assets and parts
• Submit capital investment needs for the CUB systems to the Plant Capital Planning team
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS):
• Encourage a culture of safety across the CUB (Central Utilities Building) Team by continuously reinforcing policies and procedures
• Drive accountability by ensuring policies are followed
• Drive correct EHS behaviors by identifying and executing interventions for improvement
• Model and promote behaviors that support a continuously improving EHS culture by engaging with employees and other key stakeholders, in ensuring all EHS and regulatory requirements are met
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or Technical Field or equivalent work experience.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
