We currently have an opening for a **Transportation Supervisor** to be located in our **Houston, TX** location. The Transport Supervisor is a key member responsible for building and maintaining carrier relationships and ensuring the achievement of performance targets for the Transport team.
**Pay Range** : $74,910 - $84,137. This role is eligible for an annual bonus.
Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
• Manage Tanker Operations and standardize processes for Tanker Equipment in the Central Region.
• Will work closely with Natural Resources, Quality & Tanker Carriers to resolve any quality, operational, or payment related issues as well as assisting on all related transportation matters.
• Manage core carrier group, including private fleet, to ensure all carriers maintain a 98% service level, make sure carriers adhere to the load schedule, ensure core carriers are within standard in all lanes
• Manage private fleet drivers
• Analyze and report on tanker tracking, CIP schedules, accessorial and facilitate recommendation for reclamation.
• Oversee carrier compliance to Primo Brands and federal and state standards.
• Facilitate the development of new processes within the transportation department and communicate and train employees as needed.
• Participates in springs visits and assists with customer communications (internal and external).
• Partners with Planning, Logistics and Customer Service to ensure customer orders and needs are met according to plan.
• Lead, coach and develop transport employees for future and current business needs.
• Complete, update and run various reports to monitor metrics and opportunities.
• Runs daily, weekly and monthly KPI Reports, updates shared files.
Qualifications
**Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain or other relevant field.
• 5 or more years' experience in transportation, including 2 or more years managing carrier relationships and drivers.
• Prior experience in the consumer goods industry desired, food or beverage preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Transport Systems (Uber Transportation Management System).
• Knowledge of safety processes and guidelines related to transportation - Strong computer skills with knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Experienced analysis capabilities utilizing Excel and Access.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to reach win-win solutions with internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated success leading, motivating and coaching individuals and teams.
• Safety focus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships.
• Demonstrated success in project management, problem solving, continuous improvement and achieving metrics.
• Excellent follow-up skills with a customer focused approach - Strong work ethic with the ability to travel up to 20% regionally and nationally for site, vendor, customer and internal meetings.
• Knowledge of safety processes and guidelines related to transportation (DOT).
