Supervisor, PV Site Modeling

Overview

The Supervisor, PV Site Modeling is responsible for performance management, quality assurance and strategy for the proposal site modeling function. Site modeling involves the use of proprietary web-based software and aerial imagery to generate accurate 3D representations of homes and their surroundings. The models are used to generate custom solar photovoltaic system proposals and their associated expected system production. The supervisor will build and maintain a team that is focused on swiftly delivering high quality deliverables to be used in the sales process. This role will work closely with sales organizations, software development and design engineering to continually improve the site modeling process. Customer obsession, excellent communication and a competitive desire to succeed are critical personal characteristics for success. 

Responsibilities

Establish and continually refine the strategic vision for site modeling and solar proposal development

Innovate and influence roadmap for software development, sales proposal and service level

Build and lead a highly proficient, innovative, positive and scalable team

Be available to manage a 362 day / year operation 

Communicate regularly with sales teams to stay ahead of growth and refine processes

Continuously improve quality standards and develop a robust QA process

Optimize solar characteristics to maximize Sunrun profit and customer value proposition

Expand department scorecard – focus on improving cost, efficiency, speed and model quality

Proactively collaborate with functional leaders and the software development team to improve the platform and streamline the service

Interface regularly with various operations groups including Site Survey and Design Engineering to ensure site modeling activity positively affects downstream processes

Develop and manage subcontractor relationships that augment in-house modeling capacity

Establish and prepare operating metrics that define performance with a customer centric approach

Develop a continuous improvement roadmap to optimize turnaround time, quality and unit cost objectives. 

Orchestrate training documentation and efforts 

Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Chrome or Firefox browser

Experience with Salesforce highly desired 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum of 4 years experience

Experience leading an integrated and outsourced service organization

Residential solar experience preferred

Process engineering experience a plus

Reporting and analytical experience a plus

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$64,852.52 to $86,470.02
