Job Description

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for optimizing shift operations to meet manufacturing requirements in a safe and quality-focused manner. This role supports all site functions with a focus on delivering cell culture in line with Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost model. The supervisor will manage schedules, ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, and participate in projects aimed at improving operational metrics.

Working 3 shift pattern

6am - 2pm Monday to Friday

2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

10pm - 6am Sunday to Friday

Essential Functions:Ensure all products are produced and stored to required specifications and schedules are completed on time and in full.Supervise and monitor staff performance to ensure effective schedule execution with a safety and quality-first approach.Deliver effective communication across shifts and ensure smooth handovers.Develop team members and provide feedback to team leaders and managers.Identify and implement opportunities to improve line performance.Improve customer experience through better schedule attainment, yield, reduced rework, and adherence to ISO13485:2016 standards.Ensure all compliance-based training is up to date.Provide support to other manufacturing work streams and processes to ensure overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.Participate in or lead projects supporting the continued growth of the operation, including documentation changes and operational metric improvements.

Who We Are Looking For:

Understanding of lean manufacturing and deployment of tools to drive efficiencies.Experienced communicator with a background in leading teams in a manufacturing environment.Ability to motivate employees through mentorship, supporting, delegating or directing.Passionate, committed, and results-focused with an understanding of company strategy.Ability to make informed decisions with prioritisation and data analysis.Experience in a similar industry with significant experience in high efficiency manufacturing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Education and Experience:

Grade 3 or better in Standard Grade Math, English, and at least one Science subject. Relevant manufacturing experience may be considered as an alternative.Experience in a similar industry with significant experience in a high efficiency manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

Works in a manufacturing environment.Must be able to work a 24-5, 3 shift rotating pattern.Travel will be by exception.
