The Logistics Supervisor leads a team of technical, business support, and production/maintenance employees in Materials & Logistics. This role manages the daily storing and shipping of products, conducts inventory control, and prepares reports, manuals, and documentation to support operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

Supervise all inbound and outbound logistics operations to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.Develop and maintain high service levels for internal and external customers.Monitor and manage pre-alerts and hot deliveries to ensure timely material flow.Track, trace, and process incoming materials within established turnaround times.Collaborate with carriers to confirm schedules and provide timely updates to stakeholders.Assign, monitor, and evaluate staff work activities, ensuring adherence to procedures and deadlines.Provide training, coaching, and performance management in alignment with HR policies.Implement material presentation strategies to optimize kitting and manufacturing processes.Manage space utilization, facility layouts, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency.Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate staffing coverage.Support process standardization and simplification to drive efficiency and cost savings.Develop and report on key logistics metrics, timelines, and productivity measures.Ensure compliance with all safety policies, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experienceDemonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer

Logistics experience in the aerospace/defense industry.Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP).Experience in logistics operations or similar environments.Experience applying Lean Principals or CORE concepts and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, CPS) in logistics/manufacturing.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and stakeholder management.Analytical skills for inventory control and logistics planning.Knowledge of compliance regulations for domestic and international shipping.
